Tariq Monterio is a member of the Agar Grove gang.

He along with his few friends namely Siyad Mohamud and Yassin were suspects in the murder of Alex Smith.  A 16-years old boy was hunted down and stabbed to death in a doorway after a “tit for tat” attack by three rival gang members.

Reportedly, the suspects fled the country, a murder trial has been heard.

Where Is Tariq Monteiro Now? Missing & Murder – Was Anyone Arrested?

On August 11, 2014, Tariq Monteiro was reported missing by his foster parents in Tottenham.

He was 14 years old when he went missing. Camden Police appealed for help in finding Tariq but did not appeal sooner as Tariq has been in “intermittent contact via phone” with his foster parents for a couple of months after missing.

Additionally, it was also reported that the teenager was occasionally seen even after missing but had not returned home. People expressed their concern about his welfare as he was a looked-after child.

Camden Council representative mentioned that they were working closely with the police to help the teenager return to the same environment as soon as possible.

Six years later, he was found as the suspect in the murder of a boy named Alex Smith. He along with two other young men from the Agar grove gang reportedly fled to East Africa.
